Mark joined Computershare in 2004, after 27 years with the Bank of England. He played a significant role in the seamless migration of the Gilts register from the Bank of England to Computershare. Whilst continuing to be responsible for the day-to-day Gilts operation, he was a member of a small team that established the Deposit Protection Service (DPS), which Computershare has operated since 2007, before returning his focus solely on Registry Services.
In 2014, Mark was part of the successful bid team that saw Computershare re-appointed by the HM Treasury as the Gilt Registrar, for a further 10 years. He has also taken ownership of Computershare’s Depositary Interest business and manages the relationship with Euroclear UK and Ireland Ltd for Computershare.
